Last week, I was reminded about advice from my friend, Greg Jones. Greg's a prominent trial attorney and a good friend of mine. One day, I was whining to Greg about paying so much for getting work done around my house, and he said "Scott, are you going to do it? Do YOU know how to replace that pipe?" Of course, my answer was, "No! But it seems like such a simple task! Why does everything have to be so expensive???" Greg said to me, "Scotty, you'll lose more money trying to get that job done yourself than you can make in the time it takes them to do it. Trust the experts! They get paid well for a reason!"

What reminded me of Greg's sage advice? Well, a headlight in my SUV burned out. I did what anyone does, hit YouTube, saw someone replace theirs in ten minutes, and thought no problem, I can do that! So I did. Or at least I tried. An hour, and a $150 bulb later, I still hadn't got the bulb replaced, I LOST a few plastic trim screws somehow, I'm pretty sure I got some dirt on the NEW bulb which means it'll burn out quickly, and I sure as heck wasn't making any money for my business! So, now I'm heading into the dealer. I'll pay them gosh knows how much to replace the headlight bulbs, but, thankfully, I'll be able to work while they're doing it. I can support our clients, support my team, and maybe even talk to my family for a few minutes! Time much better spent than banging my knuckles around the engine compartment of my car.

Time is the only thing we can't buy. I better appreciate it more! That's all for now! Make it a GREAT week!
