MESSAGE FROM SCOTT HARDY
Good morning, everyone! I hope you had another fantastic weekend! I was watching Sunday Night Football with my beautiful bride and we were both commenting on the terrible weather the fans were putting up with. It was dumping rain on both the field and the fans, and we thought to ourselves, "Holy moly, those folks are hard-core! I don't think we would sit through a game like that!" It wasn't just sprinkling; it was raining sheets constantly throughout the entire game.
That kind of bad weather game reminded me of my mom, who passed away a few years ago. Mom's favorite football games were the bad weather games. The more rain, mud, wind, and snow, the better! She really respected the athletes who fought through those trials on the field, and greatly embraced our wonderful Arizona weather, saying, "Scott, I love watching these games on TV because we don't have to be there for it! We're lucky to be in Arizona!"
It makes my heart feel full remembering my mom saying these things to me as a kid, or my dad telling me, "Scott, get your mom! It's snowing in Green Bay! She won't want to miss this game!" My mom's gone, but she can still make me smile! That's pretty darn awesome.
I hope you are enjoying the time with your parents, and if they aren't here anymore, you've got some great memories with them like I do with mine.
